Krista Carpenter Aneurysm Recovery Support Fund

Donation protected
After suffering for several awful days from a sudden, excruciating migraine, Krista was admitted on April 26 to St. Elizabeth's Hospital near her home in Brighton. She was quickly diagnosed with not a migraine, but a brain aneurysm. Krista needed immediate emergency surgery and was rushed to the ICU at Boston Medical. On April 27, she was treated with a procedure called coiling, which thankfully did not require open-brain surgery. Although the surgery was a success, Krista's recovery will be slow and painstaking.

Krista will be on hiatus for several months from her work as a flight attendant with JetBlue. We don't know yet what the medical bills will look like, and with limited income in the meantime, finances will be difficult. Although Krista will be able to collect some unemployment during this time, her time off from work is unpaid, so even the usual day-to-day living expenses will be challenging.

It's especially painful not to be able to visit and support Krista in person, due to the current pandemic precautions. So we're eager to show her how much we care, and to help in the most tangible way possible. The coming weeks will determine just what Krista's needs might be, and our financial support will help her to prioritize her own needs as she sees fit. Our goal is to alleviate Krista's financial concerns so she can fully focus on her health and recovery.
