Krista Davenport

This is a good friend of mine and co worker’s daughter.  Krista is a beautiful 14 year old who was born with an extremely rare disorder called Pitt Hopkins Syndrome. This is such a rare disorder that there is only 400 known cases in the United States.

To get the proper care Krista requires, her family needs to travel to Boston, which is where the Pitt Hopkins Clinic is located. Krista will be treated by a team of experts who know this disorder and how to best treat the symptoms. This is the only team in the World to specialize in Krista's Syndrome. Her family is hoping to get help with her seizures of which she has up to 70 per day.

This will be a very difficult journey as Krista cannot fly due to her extreme sensory sensitivity. It is a 36 hour drive one way for the family and more than two weeks away from home and
