Krista's Kick Ass Cancer Cash

Hello friends, family, and supporters we have yet to meet. Its time to show some serious love for our beautiful, badass friend, single mother, registered nurse, and musician extaordinaire.

Krista was recently diagnosed with Metastatic High Grade Triple Negative Mammary Carcinoma in May of 2022. In more simpler terms, Breast Cancer in the lymphnodes.

To make matters more complicated, she just started her job as an RN, lives alone with her daughter, and cannot take medical leave as one normally could if they had been working for a longer amount of time. It is unclear how much she will be able to work, which not only effects her insurance but also her paycheck month to month. Krista is an incredibly hard working, driven, single momma, who is simultaneously getting her Masters in science in nursing while working full time as an RN. On top of this career, she is a sought after flautist and teacher in the area and has a giant network of musicians that know and respect her work.

Krista will be in chemo treatment for at least 4 months and then expected to undergo a double masectomy on top of radiation afterwards. Anyone who's been through the cancer experience, whether it was a loved one or themselves, knows that it is not only unpredictable but also incredibly expensive.

There are things in life that you can do on your own and there are others that take a village.

Anyone who knows Krista knows that she will look adversity dead in the face and say 'Bring it On'. Well, cancer picked the wrong b#%ch to mess with this time. Now its up to us to be her village and to hold her up while she fights.
