Fundraiser for Kristen Carter

Hi, my name is Denise and I’m fundraising for expenses to put our sweet Kristen to rest. She passed away February 21st, 2025. Myself, her step Dad, her 4 surviving siblings, cousins, grandparents, aunts & uncles and friends are absolutely shocked and heart broken. There was an autopsy because of her young age of 27 and it was found that she died of acute pancreatitis. The funeral home was to pick her up on February 25th, however her estranged Father Mike contested her being taken for her final arrangements. Our family is in a court battle now to get our sweet girl so we can lay her to rest. Kristen’s Father has given our lawyer a ransom letter stating that he will only let her be released to the family on the condition that he receives her 2 phones untouched/untampered with and that he wants nothing to do with the burial or the expenses associated with it. Those phones sadly hold hundreds of abusive messages from him to our sweet daughter. Fast forward 4 weeks and several thousands of dollars in legal fees, we still do not have our sweet girl to lay to rest. Once she is released to us we will need to pay the remainder of legal fees and the expenses that will be required for her final arrangements. I’m reaching out to you all because I know so many people loved Kristen, she was a kind, loving, insanely talented soul. Help us bring her home. Xo
