Kristi Jones - Knocking Cancer Out of the Park

A few weeks ago, Kristi noticed that she was feeling extremely fatigued, and then started noticing that she was developing bruising on her body. Her husband, Tommy took her to the doctor on Friday, April 10, 2020. The doctor sent her immediately for bloodwork. That evening they received a phone call saying that Kristi was very sick and needed to go straight to the hospital. She arrived at Mercy Hospital and was told that she had Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). The doctors then told her she would be admitted and remain in the hospital during her treatments. The hardest part for her is being away from her family. Because of the the Covid19 Virus, Kristi has not been allowed anyone to be by her side during such a devastating crisis. She had to kiss and hug her husband and children goodbye and began to fight this cancer. She is currently still in the hospital and undergoing numerous rounds of chemo and will require numerous hospitalizations over the next 12-18 months. Kristi is a wife, mother of three beautiful children, college student and full time daycare operator. Due to the cancer, she has been forced to close her home daycare facility. As any one can imagine, losing one source of income is extremely hard on a family, but the mounting medical bills are also a source of hardship on the family.
