I’m so proud of my friend. She basically ran through chemo for 20 weeks and she just started her 30 radiation treatments last week, and until recently was doing immunotherapy. She was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer diagnosis last winter and her fight has been impressive to say the least! This single mother of 2 has amazed me! She’s even amazed herself! This girl never asks for help so sometimes we have to push ourselves on her! I know for a fact this diagnosis and treatment has forever changed her life. In many positive ways, actually! God is always good. She’s kept a good perspective all along and it is so key to seeing all the good. The only thing I even hear her really stress about is some medical bills like constant copays and deductables, and the lack of pay during her disability. She always follows her complaints with ‘it will be ok I’m just bummed because I was finally back on my feet and it’s stressful’ (recent divorce). Disability pay is great and all but its not much. For example: She’s having 30 radiation treatments and each one is a $40 copay! I’m like dang! It’s expensive to kick cancers rear end, even with good insurance! One of the causes of cancer is stress and so many have reached out wanting to help, so I have a simple plan! I mean it’s bad enough to have to beat cancer but this experience has been a lot more out of pocket costs than she could have ever predicted. Things that you don’t even think about, she needed, and most of the time she just independently went and got it. Money is a huge stressor for her right now. HUGE. I couldn’t get that girl to go to the ER recently when she was very ill because she was between insurance providers and scared to death she would get stuck with a huge bill. I even said I would pay but nope, she wouldn’t have it. She is a hard head, believe me! The reason I put this together is because so many people have asked if they can cook for her, or help with the kids, or help with Christmas gifts -for the kids and honestly I know more than anything, some extra money to cover some deficits from her journey, would help her to mentally feel like she is back on her feet and can breathe…. without so much anxiety about finances. She is so grateful for all of your all’s love and support and says it kept her head high the whole way through. Even recently things got very serious and very scary and her disposition was crazy good.

If you can afford to help her out and donate, I ask you to open your heart to help a friend in need. I know for a FACT, she would be one of the first to donate for a friend in need. No amount is too small, and she doesn’t have to know who or how much. I appreciate you guys for being so emotionally supportive along her journey and please please continue to keep her in your prayers.

Merry Christmas
