Kristin helps everyone else - Now it's time to help her!
Donation protected
Fifteen years ago, I was still relatively new to Glacier Creek, and hadn’t met very many people outside of my grade level. I was invited to be a part of a social studies curriculum team, and it was there that I met Kristin. She immediately took me under her wing. We quickly discovered that we grew up not too far from each other and have friends “back home” in common. (She will tell you that being a Freeport Pretzel is the best!) We have been friends ever since.
As many of you know, Kristin “retired” from teaching a few years ago to devote herself full-time to her business, Hill Valley Workshop. (If you aren’t familiar with her work, check it out!) As an entrepreneur, she has traveled all over the Midwest, making new friends and lifting up other female entrepreneurs in their work. Now, it’s our turn to give her a lift.
Kristin went in for her first routine colonoscopy on March 12th. However, it turned out to be anything but routine. Doctors found a cancerous mass, which was ultimately removed. She has a few more procedures and chemotherapy ahead of her, but her medical team is optimistic that she will make a full recovery.
That said, she will need to lessen her work load over the next several months, and being an entrepreneur, there are no “sick days”. Please consider donating to help with their medical bills as Kristin, her loving husband Andy, and their three sons face the months ahead.
