Kristin Smart Memorial Benches for Lincoln High

The WAVES (Worth Achievement Volunteerism Empowerment Success) Club at Lincoln High School of Stockton, CA, is raising funds to purchase at least one memorial bench to be installed at their school. Lincoln High is Kristin’s alma mater. The club would like to be able to purchase multiple benches, and will continue to make purchases as the donated funds allow. The hope is to install at least one bench in the swimming pool area, as Kristin was on the swim team when she attended Lincoln. If funds allow, additional benches would be installed right outside the swimming pool area.

The WAVES Club wants to keep Kristin’s memory alive locally, and will be listening to the podcasts, and discussing at club meetings. The memorial benches will help keep her memory alive in her hometown.

The idea for the memorial benches, podcast listening and discussions, and fundraiser was started by club member Kaitlyn (Kait) Rasmussen. Club president, Kyleigh Tatum fully supported the club taking this on, and all funds received will be donated to the WAVES Club to purchase memorial benches.
