Bryan's Road To Recovery

Donation protected

Please help my buddy Bryan Raven.

On Saturday, September 26th 2020 we were involved in a serious boating accident. Lauren and I were not seriously injured but unfortunately Bryan received life altering injuries.

Bryan's boat took an immediate left turn and barrel rolled. The incident caused severe head trauma along with other major inquiries.  Bryan was taken to Orillia Hospital, then flown by Ornge Air Ambulance to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto where he underwent an emergency surgery to repair damage to his left eye and facial fractures. Bryan also suffered a concussion, leg, back and dental injuries. Bryan was released from Hospital on October 2nd and will have a long road to recovery ahead of him which includes more surgeries, several return visits to Sunnybrook and the strong possibility of loosing sight in his eye.

Thankfully, Bryan is here with us today. Anyone who knows Bryan, loves him. Bryan never asks for help but is always the first there to help anyone with anything they may need. Bryan and his family wish to thank everyone involved in his rescue and recovery of the boats.

We wish to express great gratitude to Lifeline Race Gear, the maker of his life jacket that prevented more serious inquires. These are a must for all performance boaters.

The love and support shown by family, friends and neighbours this past week has been overwhelming and greatly appreciated.

We do not have a timeline for when Bryan might be able to return to work as an Ironworker with Local 721 Toronto. He will be able to collect E.I sick benefits for the allowed weeks and will have a small union benefit after they run out. Bryan is being faced with a lot of extra expenses right now due to travel, Hospital parking and medical supplies which is all on top of his everyday expenses.

Bryan would never ask for help for himself, so I am asking for him. PLEASE HELP MY BUDDY!

All donations received will go directly to Bryan to help in his long road to recovery. Bryan will continue to need love and support from Family and Friends to aid in his recovery.

I know 2020 has been a struggle for everyone, any amount helps significantly and is greatly appreciated.  For anyone who may not be able to donate, we ask that you please help by sharing this post.

Sincerely,

Jake King
