Support Robert's Family After Tragic Loss
Donation protected
UPDATE:
Robert has been moved from the hospital to a local funeral home.
Thank you for all your support and donations.
I'm here, pleading with you to raise funds for a friend who recently witnessed life’s utmost brutality.
A little about Robert.
Robert was a father of two girls, Riona (3) and Rishona (7), hailing from Kanyakumari district in Tamil Nadu. He also had a legacy of bringing up his six siblings as his parents passed away at an early age. Right after Covid, his business took a nosedive, and that in turn left him with irreparable losses which they could never recover from. Unable to bear the financial crisis, he traveled to America 4 months back with the hopes and dreams of providing a stable family income. He was working in Houston, TX during these months.
Fate struck on Nov 2, 2024, when he was on his way back from sending money to India for his kids for Diwali. He was hit by a car and thrown onto another approaching vehicle. He was on a bicycle. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was treated and operated on for punctured lungs and stomach, facial and jaw reconstruction, tracheostomy, and angioplasty. The treatment went on for a couple of weeks. Though he was on life support from the beginning, we hoped that a miracle would dawn upon us and we would be able to send him back to India. But destiny had other plans. Instead of sending him alive to India, we are in the heart-wrenching process of embalming his body and sending him. He is survived by his wife Reshma and two daughters.
At this juncture, we are seeking prayers and financial assistance for his family. We are teamed with TeamAid, who are a group of selfless volunteers helping and guiding us through this process. We are in touch with the Indian Embassy in Houston.
A final word:
We are here to help a family that can never come out of this grief. But a small help will go a long way in setting up funds to educate his children who will live in this world to carry on their father’s dream.
