Sponsor our walk to help cure Lydia

Hi, we're 14 and our names are Isla, Ellerose, Kainat and Molly, and we really want to help our friend Lydia. We think she has PANS/PANDAS which is a sort of brain inflammation and causes loud and painful tic attacks, FND like symptoms where her limbs freeze up and she gets non-epileptic seizures, and overall very bad mental health. Lydia developed this really suddenly in about Year 7/Year 8, has been in and out of hospital and now has had to leave our school because of it and we miss her in class a lot. We've seen her through the worst and best times and life has been so hard for her. She is so resilient and strong but this time she does need your help.

On Sunday 3rd September we are climbing Whernside mountain in the Yorkshire Dales (Highest of the Yorkshire Three Peaks) to raise money for the assessment and treatment of PANS/PANDAS. The condition is recognised by the world health organization, but not well recognised or treated by the NHS. We can't let Lydia struggle with this anymore so can you please sponsor us? Sometimes people exaggerate how good of a person they are when they raise money, but there is no need to exaggerate how amazing Lydia is. She cares about everyone and everything and it's just her who can't see how good she really is. It's amazing that this treatment can really help her, that there's a clear path to where she needs to be. All we need now is the money.
