CHRIS'S LEGACY

Donation protected

Chris McDonald, known to many as Macca, Big Mac or Big Bird, passed away on the 13th of September 2019, just days following his 33rd birthday. His death was the result of a fall from his mountain bike on the previous afternoon at a park close to his home in west Newcastle. Chris sustained extensive trauma to his spinal cord resulting in catastrophic injury to his brain.

Selflessly, Chris was an organ donor and with the support of his family, Chris donated his organs to help change the lives of others on Sunday the 15th. Even in death Chris was helping others, this would come as no surprise to those who knew him.

Chris worked hard to create an amazing family environment for his three young daughters Bella, Lacey and Cali and his adored soul mate and wife Heather. His left them an amazing legacy but without Chris' income, his young family faces some hard times ahead.

The family is incredibly humbled by the kindness of those who have reached out and offered help in these hard time. We have set up this page to help Heather sustain the life Chris and her built for their kids. We hope to provide support for Heather in the years to come and help her to support their girls to follow their dreams.

This page was set up with the blessing of the McDonald family. All money raised will go directly to Heather and the girls. For those wishing to donate another way please contact myself or the family for bank account details.
