Sharing peoples stories through film is a powerful tool in helping us end the stigma.

Our first film will feature Gary Van Duinen. Gary took his own life due to his gambling addiction in 2018.




Our Voices, Our Truth...

 
We started Kickin’ the Punt to change the way our society views gambling.

We soon realised that our voices are our most powerful weapon in shattering the stigma and shame that we feel when we are in the grips of a gambling addiction. Our voices also challenge the rhetoric and narrative of the predatory gambling industry. Their single biggest fear is a collective, voicing their journey with gambling and the harm it causes to the individual who is struggling with addiction, and their loved ones who suffer because of it.

KTP has become a platform for people to share their stories, which encourages others to come forward and voice their truth. KTP has become a platform for change.

We have made inroads in combating the stigma and predatory industry through our social media platforms. We want to start creating short films, highlighting individuals and their loved ones who have struggled with gambling addiction.

Our first film will feature Gary Van Duinen. Gary lost his life to a gambling addiction. We will be speaking with Joy Van Duinen, and some of Gary’s closest mates.

We have always had people generously offer money to KTP, but we never knew what to do with the money, so we have always declined. If you want to help us fund this film project, please donate, or share. Our dream is to eventually create a documentary series with people who struggle with gambling addiction.

We will never take any money from the predatory gambling industry. We will be completely transparent with where these funds are used, as transparency is a rare occurrence in this world.

This is just the beginning.
