Michael's Recovery
Donation protected
Hi. Our brother, Michael Coan, a graduate of Roman Catholic HS class of 1982 was diagnosed with Peripheral Artery Disease back in September 2022. This disease has been progressing and has affected his ability to work as an auto mechanic. His employer does not provide paid leave so his ability to pay bills has been significantly reduced. Michael was born and raised in Wissahickon where he attended St. Mary's Grade School and enjoyed working on cars since he graduated from High School.
While recently in the hospital to treat his leg, doctors discovered blockages in his heart, which required open heart surgery. This unexpected surgery delayed treatment to his leg which resulted in his leg being amputated. Michael will be in recovery and therapies for the foreseeable future and unable to work. We are currently working with the doctors to determine if he will ever be able to return to work and exploring his options for financial assistance. From what we are learning, this could be a months long process and he will not have any income during this time to cover his living expenses and medical bills.
We would be forever grateful if you can find it in your heart to donate to assist Michael in paying his expenses. Any amount would be extremely appreciated. Thank you so much.
