Support Zainab's Family Rebuild in Gaza

I am collecting on behalf of Zainab Al-Jamal’s family.

My name is Zainab, and I'm reaching out to you from Gaza from the Bureij Refugee camp in the Middle Area of Gaza Strip. Since the start of the war on 7 October 2023, I was forced to leave my house with my family (my husband and my three kids - Omar is 8 years old, Asem is 6 years old, Jana is only 8 months), as it was nearly a dangerous area to live in because of the bombs, and the destruction was everywhere.

The devastation of war has torn apart homes, families, and dreams. Like many others, I have lost everything – my home, my possessions, and my sense of security.The recent conflict has left my house in ruins, and the future seems uncertain.

Basic necessities such as access to clean water, electricity, and healthcare are not an easy thing to get due to infrastructure damage and restrictions. Also the prices of everything have inflated to 10 times the original prices, and are now unaffordable. Additionally, the blockade imposed on Gaza severely limits the flow of goods and resources, exacerbating humanitarian conditions and making daily life even more precarious. As a result, we all in Gaza live in constant fear for our safety, with limited opportunities for a secure and stable future.

But amidst the rubble, there is a glimmer of hope – the hope of rebuilding not just homes, but lives. I am determined to rebuild, to reclaim what has been lost, and to create a future filled with hope and possibility. But I can't do it alone. That's why I'm turning to you, to ask for your support in this journey of rebuilding.
