PUSH Soccer Academy Bamako Mali West Africa

Salutations friends, colleagues and fans! I am Badara Dia aka Coach Papa Dia. As a youth, growing up in Mail,  West Africa, I can remember playing on makeshift soccer fields (baron lots) to learn the game of soccer the #1 spotrts in Africa. Not having the proper shoes, clothes, equipment or first aid kits to clean my sorely bruised feet were many of my childhood memories. Not much has changed in Mali for the youths today. As I have had the opportunity to travel and do what I love with the game of soccer, my wish is to share and PUSH that dream and wishes with the children of Mali. Each summer I return to lend my time and talent to help give children a sense of enjoyment, even just a few weeks. At the end of the summer, we host a huge tournament for the local children. The turnout for these events bridge the community together and momentarily, everyone forgets about the impoverished areas they call home. Although the fields the children play on are riddled with sewage, garbage and debris, the children are still able to PUSH and enjoy, however brief, the game of soccer. Through soccer these children are volunteering their time to do community services for the neighbors and local offices.  They go out of their way to give back by cleaning mosques. Cemeteries,  hospitals,  libraries, public schools and the zoo. They look out for one another for support and PUSH for guidance. This organization PUSHed these children to stay in school and give their BEST and be their BEST!  Friends I am asking you today to help contribute for a 16-passenger van, soccer goals, nets, fair soccer equipment and equipment shipping cost to Mali, practice shirts, soccer shoes and fence around the field for the PUSH organization. The vehicle will be utilized to transport the PUSH youths academy to and from games and tournaments. Because of the generous donations of sponsors, parents, fans and friends like yourself; I have often collected shoes, clothing and other essential soccer items for the youth in Mail. While these donations are greatly appreciated, the needs of the children vary greatly. That is why I am seeking your support. I fund the PUSH each year because I see the joy it brings the community children together. Although it can be financially straining at times, the participants of PUSH have something to look forward to all the times possible.  Please partner with me in this campaign to further the enjoyment, excitement and to globalize this concept for other impoverished areas of Mali so children stay in school to excel their best potential through the game of soccer.
