Celebrating the life of Kubo Kordisch
Donation protected
For those of you that knew Kubo, everyone has a story... or many. He sure lived life to the fullest. It's impossible to commemorate him in just a paragraph or two. Although right now, many of us are at a loss for words and in disbelief about losing our friend so suddenly, especially when it seemed like things were finally starting to line up for him. He was incredibly passionate about racing and died doing what he loved. He was truly inspiring and made lasting impressions on those he met, even if it was just momentarily. He treated everyone like family. And he was most certainly always up for an adventure and a laugh.
I started this GoFundMe as a way to give back to Kubo’s family, especially his girls, Annamarie and Eva. It will go towards their future college expenses, assist the family members that will be traveling from Slovakia, and provide financial support for memorial services.
I have read many stories this week from others and would like to encourage everyone to share them here as a way to more completely remember Kubo. Additionally, feel free to throw in any Kubo photobombs or selfies - it was his mission to take/be in as many pictures as possible. It would be nice to see them all in one place.
As for my own Kubo stories, there are too many to count... like the time he hit the zombieCRX horn button with his foot on the dash as we were flying over the Red Bull jump, laughing the entire time; or when he got his car stuck in an ice pond and walked out in his underwear because he didn't want to get his clothes wet; or swimming in the Rangely reservoir when Jon Seaton almost drowned trying to save his drone that was headed out to sea.
If possible, please consider donating and contributing to the memory of Kubo. He was a part of many circles, whether it was his racing family, the Bridgestone Winter Driving School, BMW family, or any other. Please share.
