In memory of an amazing man...

As we begin to celebrate the remarkable life of Michael Bloch, we are reminded of his unwavering dedication to serving others with boundless compassion and selflessness. Michael was not just a friend, a husband, a father, or a colleague; he was a beacon of hope and kindness in our midst, touching countless lives with his acts of generosity and love.

Throughout his time with us, Michael embodied the true essence of altruism, tirelessly devoting himself to making a positive difference in the lives of those around him. Whether it was through his career as an organ donor coordinator with the London Health Sciences Centre Transplant program, lending a helping hand to a neighbor in need, or passionately advocating for cancer research during his grandson’s cancer journey (as well as his own), Michael consistently went above and beyond with everything he pursued.

As we honor Michael's extraordinary legacy, we are inspired to carry forward his mission of compassion and service. In doing so, we would like to introduce you to Cathy and Steve Lithgow - long-time friends of the Bloch family.

Steve is a victim of a brutal attack while at work on December 1, 2011 resulting in a traumatic brain injury. He requires 24-hour care which his wife, Cathy, provides despite her own health issues. As most of his care and treatment needs are not covered by OHIP, Cathy & Steve do struggle to cover these costs. While Steve is making huge steps in his recovery, he will require this support for the rest of his life.

Therefore, we humbly come together to extend a heartfelt request for donations in memory of Michael. Every contribution, no matter the size, will directly assist with Steve’s medical expenses and in providing the care and treatment that Steve requires.

Your generous contributions will enable us to fulfill Michael’s legacy of paying it forward and supporting others in their times of need.
