Kukahiko Ohana - Maui Fire Recovery
Donation protected
My name is Ryan Udarbe and I am raising funds on behalf of the Kukahiko ohana, a beloved family of Lahaina who have been in Lahaina for generations and lost their homes in the devastating Maui fires.
The Kukahiko ohana embodies the spirit of aloha and represents a family legacy connected to care for the land and the ocean and is deeply rooted in the community of Maui. Bubba Kukahiko is one of the many selfless Maui County Firefighters covering Lahaina and has been working tirelessly to protect and care for the community, while never asking for or expecting anything in return. He is constantly giving of himself and his time. I met Bubba through our shared love of outrigger canoe paddling where he also coaches for Napili Canoe Club. His sister, Twyla Kukahiko is a proud mom to 16-year-old and 11-year-old daughters. Twyla and the girls lost everything including their homes while their dad was helping Bubba save other people and their homes.
100% of all funds donated will go towards securing temporary housing amid their displacement and towards the rebuilding process. Help me in keeping the Kukahiko ohana rooted in their home and give as much aloha back to them as they do for everyone else. Mahalo nui for your kokua.
