USAK KUMBA BOREHOLE WATER PROJECT

CLEAN & SAFE PORTABLE WATER FOR THE POEPLE OF KUMBA, IN CAMEROON

The people of Kumba have been suffering from water related diseases such as typhoid, cholera and dysentery due to lack of clean portable water. For over 5 plus years, the people of Kumba have been deprived of pipe borne water and/or clean drinkable water. This is a serious health and sanitation crisis which has claimed countless innocent lives.

It was as a result of these health problems that concerned citizens from Kumba residing in the USA decided to organize themselves under a K-Town Union and Kumba Group called USAK (United States Association of K-Towners) to help provide locals in Kumba with clean portable water by funding and constructing Water boreholes.

Water is life and clean portable water will not only alleviate the citizens of Kumba from water born disease but it will also empowers learning minds and children will spend more time on school work and less time walking for long distance to fetch water.

Anyone can dig a hole. Anyone can send money to Africa to fund a well. Anyone can take a picture of water flowing and claim success. But it takes trained and committed teams working in collaboration to build a water project  on a strong foundation that ensures lasting worth and life changing impact.

Within less than two years of existence, USAK has funded and successfully constructed a water borehole project in Kumba specifically in the Nkamlikum neighborhood worth $15000.

USAK’s goal is not only limited to water borehole projects but spans to include public hygiene facilities like public toilets and healthcare related initiatives like hospital beds, medications and medical equipments. Our current GoFundMe goal is to raise $15,000!  This will enable USAK to construct another water borehole in Kumba, Cameroon. We can only achieve this goal from donors like you with high moral values, character, and a sense of philanthropic and charitable mindset.
