Kurt Peterman Medical Expenses

Hello, our names are Barry and Katrina Buechner and we are fundraising for Kurt Peterman. Barry went to high school with Kurt and Katrina has gotten to know Kurt through work and his girlfriend, Danielle.

March 19, 2024 Kurt was napping and woke up in seizure. That day he was admitted to the local E.R. and after doing a CT scan they had discovered a small bleed in between the brain and the skull, a subdural hematoma. Kurt was then medically transported to the nearest Neuro Intensive Care Unit for further evaluation.

Within the next day he was released after 2 more CT scans and an EEG was performed. He was given a care plan to follow and sent home.

After being home for about a week, he started to feel nauseated and developed piercing headaches. These symptoms alarmed his primary care physician, and suggested to have him readmitted to the E.R. In the E.R., after another CT scan, they found that the bleed had started to make the brain swell and put extreme pressure on the brain.

Later that night, he was medically transported again to a different Neuro Intensive Care Unit where they have continued monitor and pain manage his headaches. After 4 days of observance, they have chosen to do a clean up brain surgery to remove the old clotted bleed and repair blood vessels, in hopes that it will hopefully relieve the extreme amount of pressure.

Due to these extreme circumstances, Kurt is unable to work and has no income at this time. Future appointments and follow up care will be additional and ongoing.

In a long road to recovery we anticipate a large sum of medical bills and lost income due to these emergencies.
