Kurt Smith Kidney Transplant Fund
Donation protected
Kurt was diagnosed in 2010 with Polycistic Kidney Disease or PKD, a hereditary progressive kidney disease that ultimately leads to kidney failure. Kurt was fortunate enough to have his transplant in May 2017 thanks to a very generous person who donated a kidney. He had many people offer to donate a kidney and was fortunate enough to find a match. Kurt is an artist and professional graphic designer. He is very active in his community and is a founding member of a thriving arts organization which he volunteers a lot of his time to. He is always willing to help others and a very caring person. He works full-time at a small college and does graphic design work part-time. Please help Kurt cover the cost of the transplant and related medical costs that insurance doesn't cover for himself and his donor. The cost of the transplant is about $263,000. The co-pay for his medications he is required to take cost him $200 a month. Recovering from a transplant is a long road and your help will alleviate the added stress of a financial burden. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
