Kurth Family
Donation protected
Last week Tim went to the ER because he had a seizure. A scan revealed a large tumor in his brain. The tumor was removed a couple of days later in Iowa City, and he is now recovering at home with his sweet family. The surgery went well, and they’re waiting for pathology reports to find out the next steps.
What makes this situation more difficult is that Tim’s employment at the Altoona Fire Department ended just days before his seizure. In hindsight, the tumor was interfering with his ability to do the job he loves so much. Sadly, with the loss of Tim’s job the Kurth’s lost all of their benefits. Because of how the events played out he is unable to collect unemployment or disability. Our hope is to ease the financial burden on their family so Tim can focus solely on the next steps of treatment, and that Eileen is able to care for him and the kids. Those of you who know Tim know how brave and courageous he is, all while bringing laughter to everyone around him. Tim has served his community as a fireman/paramedic for 22 years. His wife, Eileen, is a part-time labor and delivery nurse. Together they have five beautiful children.
This GoFundMe is a tangible way for all of us to show the Kurth's how much they are loved and supported. They love and serve others so well – it’s our turn to do the same for them. Thanks for joining us!
