Dear All
As we are all too keenly aware, the last 9 months have been tough for all of us in the Live Music Industry. All of us have faced particular challenges which have tested us during these trying times. One of our crew family has faced a multi front storm this last year. While on tour during the summer of 2019, Kurt Kasinoff found out, that while he was away, a water main had burst at his house. Unfortunately it went undiscovered for quite some time, causing thousands of dollars in damage. Though he was insured, he encountered many costs that were not covered. Additionally, around the same time, Kurt discovered that he had an ulcer, and because of that, experienced several medical emergencies in the months leading up to 2020. Due to his health situation, and the damage caused at his home, Kurt's savings quickly depleted and he has fallen behind on his bank payments. Additionally, unexpected lawyer costs and the burden of no foreseeable work, as well as the fact that he has been diagnosed with Covid 19, he finds himself in dire straits.
Kurt is currently trying to sell some of his things so that he will be able pay some essential bills. However, this will take time, and will still come up short.
One thing that I've learned over the last year, is that some things, no matter how devastating, are out of our reach when it comes to fixing them. Because of that, Ive focused my energy on that which is in my circle. I care deeply for all of my crew family, and felt compelled to make this ask on behalf of Kurt. As stated before, I know that we are all having a really tough time right now, and with no clear answers in sight, we are all clinging on. However, I'd like to submit for your consideration that any contribution would be appreciated by Kurt, to give him a bit of a little leash before he runs out
Best
Steve
