Help me become a lawyer

Why do I want to be a lawyer? That's a question that I get asked often. The reason behind my dream is that at an early age, I witnessed Domestic violence in my household. Those were years of uncertainty for my safety and the well being of those I love. For twelve years, I feared for my mom's life. I felt that I was not safe and that at any given moment, I could lose her.
This is a story that many people that know me are not even aware of. For a long time, I kept this hidden away due to shame. After a long time of hiding this part of me, I decided that I needed to own up to it and find ways to prevent domestic violence to keep happening. My ultimate dream is to attend law school and become an attorney and to start my non-profit organization where I can help women and men that suffer from domestic violence and provide them with legal and financial advice as well as psychological services.
I want to offer a safe place where victims can be empowered and learn that although life has many obstacles through faith and will, we can overcome it and thrive from our own stories. Additionally, I want to create awareness that domestic violence can leave many scars behind and is not a safe environment for anybody, especially children, to be in. Although for twelve years of my life, I hated being in an unsafe environment, I now understand why God put me in that position. I strive to become a voice for victims and their children who feel unsafe in thier own homes.
I just want to say thank you to anybody who helps me out. I really appreciate all the help I can get in raising money for my education and my purpose.
