Deputy Jeffrey Elliott Funeral Expenses

My sister and I lost our Father unexpectedly on May 11, 2022 due to a cardiac arrest. It’s has been extremely devastating for us to lose our “Daddy”. He was the best father a girl could ask for. He worked as a Deputy Sheriff for 40 years with CCSO. Our father was such a hard working man and was so genuinely loving and compassionate to his family and the community. It is very important that we give our father the best send off as he has given so much to us. We expected to pay his funeral expenses from his life insurance policy. We learned yesterday that he never updated his beneficiaries and his ex wife was still listed as sole beneficiary. Unfortunately, she feels uncomfortable signing a promissory note for the funeral home to be paid directly from the life insurance policy. This leaves the financial burden on my sister and I. We are not the type of family to ask for donations of any kind, however, our father means the world to us and he deserves a proper burial. We are asking if anyone finds it in their hearts to donate towards our fathers funeral expenses we will forever be grateful for your generosity.
