Movie night with Santa

In Partnership with #Naugystrong Facebook page, CT Partnership for Children Inc. and Manny Pinho #Naugystrong, seek to bring back the glory of Christmas past. In the robust years of Risdon, Naugatuck Chemical and Peter Paul Cadbury, back to a simpler time, the magic of the holiday season was celebrated in Naugatuck with a visit from Santa, where children received a special gift, enjoyed time with their families and sunk in the magic and glory of the season of giving.

This year, we seek to bring that magic to the families we serve through our efforts of the Diaper Bank, our Mobile Food Pantry and our School Based Food Pantry.  125 children that represent our ALICE population (Asset limited, income constrained, employed) or fall below the federal poverty limit, with 10% of our children representing children with special needs regardless of income; will be invited to a special event (by invitation only) on December 12th to celebrate the magic of the season. The picture of days gone by with a movie and hot coco, bon fires keeping families warm and safe while they anxiously await Santa to arrive . Each child will have the opportunity to be called up to visit Santa and receive a gift custom selected for them. This partnership will continue and grow each year to support our amazing community!

1) Provide a memorable and exciting Christmas experience for under-privileged children in Naugatuck.

2) Create a fun, yearly tradition in our community that will carry on for generations to come.

3) Cement a positive perspective and a healthy image of Christmas time for those children who may not get this experience otherwise.
