Welcome to the Official Fund Raising Page for Miss Black Newark USA 2015! I am Jolethea Downs, and I am blessed to have the esteem to serve as your Miss Black Newark USA 2015. Currently I am a graduating senior at Delaware State University, majoring in Movement Science. Post commencement I plan to attend Dental school, to clean the smiles of the world! The Miss Black USA Pageant and Scholarship Foundation, Inc., is a non-profit corporation whose mission is to provide educational opportunities to outstanding young women of color and to develop the “whole woman mind, body, and spirit”. Women have started their legacy here such as Oprah Winfrey crowned in 1972, and I will continue this legacy.
I will represent the state of Delaware in August 2015 at the Miss Black USA National Pageant. I am so excited to share my platform and to help others in my community. Throughout my reign as Miss Black Newark USA 2015, there will be a number of various expenses that will need to be covered. I created this page to get some aid from my fellow friends and family. All of the cost for travel and lodging will be left to me, if you would be so kind as to consider funding me on my journey I will greatly appreciate it!
As Miss Black Newark 2015, I plan on supporting local programs that work with the youth and focuses on mentorship, and the ill.
My journey to the national pageant requires your support! Here is where you can help! Any donation is accepted weather if it is $5, $20, $100, no donation is too small until we reach this goal together. I sincerely appreciate your continued love and support and I am grateful for this amazing opportunity.
