Cover living expenses and medical costs

Hey guys, my name is Kandace and I am raising money for one of the most amazing people I know, Valerie Fraser.

Valerie was involved in a motorcycle accident on July 7th, while leaving work to get home to her sweet baby boy. She has sustained very critical and life threatening injuries. She will be unable to work for an extensive amount of time, and we would really like to help her cover her mortgage and bills as well as the costly medical bills she has and will continue to accrue. This number we have started out with is miniscule in comparison to the costs and income lost over the next 6 months to a year it may take for her to recover.

Without going into great detail, she has undergone multiple surgeries and has an unspecified number she will need to have before she is even able to leave the ICU and hospital. We are thankful she is still in this realm with us and we need to plan ahead for her and her little one's futures.

Valerie is one of the most kind and selfless women i have ever met. It is my hope that we can come together and help her in this time of need, as she has for so many of us, myself included, in the past.

Please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers, and if nothing else, please share this page so that she can receive some relief and have just a little less to worry about as she heals.

Also, please drive safely and watch out for motorcyclists with whom you share the road. They're literally dying for you to see them.

ETA: It has been brought to my attention that I should expand on some of Valerie's injuries and estimated heal time. I would like to preface that I am not a doctor and can only touch on things as I understand them. I may also accidentally leave some things out but I will edit/add to things as necessary. She has broken both arms/ wrists and hands, as well as broken her hip and pelvis into 2 pieces. She ruptured her liver and spleen and sustained trauma on her frontal lobe, where she has bleeds and swelling. She has undergone multiple surgeries at this point to stop the internal bleeding, as well as multiple surgeries on her arms and pelvis. Her doctors suspect she will need more in the future to aid in the healing process and that it may take up to a year just to regain full function of her arms alone. It will be a long road of rehabilitation, but we are hopeful that she will come out of this fully recovered, though she may experience much more long term pain.
