In need of teeth.
Donation protected
My deepest appreciation to one and all of you for the donations!! Sadly, as life and times would have it the price, like most prices these days, has gone up.
Simply put I am in need of denture plate replacements.
I am currently living on a meager Social Security check, with little opportunity to generate any extra income from side jobs, my art, or music due to both the ongoing pandemic and my age (64).
It is with great humility and embarrassment that I present this request.
WHAT HAPPENED.
A little while ago while driving, I placed my dentures in a container on the dashboard of my truck (dentures sometimes get to be uncomfortable). My truck broke down on the highway and, in my hurry, I simply left the dentures in the container on the dashboard. Before I was able to recover the truck a number of things were stolen from the vehicle. The truck's battery, a bicycle, a favorite drum, tools, a spare tire, and jack were among the items stolen.
Also removed from the unlockable old Ford pickup was the container holding MY TEETH! (Imagine the thief's surprise when the box was opened!)
My insurance will not cover replacement for three years by which time my jaw will have reshaped considerably thus having replacements made at that time more difficult and more costly. There is some immediacy to this request!
I have no idea why dentures are so expensive, I only know that they are.
Living without teeth is burdensome, to say the least, and very unpleasant. Eating is often painful, speaking clearly is very difficult (Especially when wearing a mask!).
While these may seem like trivial problems in these challenging times, I can assure you they are not, these issues affect me both physically and emotionally
(Besides, I'm starting to Iook and sound like Gabby Hayes in an old western.).
I cannot thank you enough for your consideration, any donation will bring me one step closer to the goal. I assure you that I shall "pay it forward" when opportunity arises for me to do so.
Sincerely, Mark K. Kemper, Taos, New Mexico.
