KW Türkiye Families Impacted by Earthquake

As you already know a 7.7-magnitude earthquake took place in Kahramanmaraş, Türkiye at 4:17 am on February 6, 2023. An additional 7.6-magnitude earthquake hit Elbistan at 1:24 pm the same day. 10 surrounding cities are affected from the earthquake. One of those cities affected is Gaziantep in which we have a market center, Keller Williams Meridyen. Unfortunately, we are deeply saddened to learn that family members of our Keller Williams associates were killed in the earthquake. The numbers are increasing by the minute.

Now we are in the process of creating a relief fund to support relief and recovery efforts for our agents and their families affected in the area. In order to ensure transparency and efficiency in allocating funds to where they are needed most, we will create a task force from our ALC members and leadership. We set the goal for $300,000 for our agents and their families for immediate relief. As needs emerge, we will raise additional funds. We are planning to support the reliefs in order of priority as follows:

1- KW Meridyen agents and their families

2- KW agents having families affected in the area

3- Remaining funds, if any, will be transferred to trusted organizations supporting longer-term recovery efforts in the impacted areas.

Our KWW and KWRI friends and family continuously offer their support and express that they would like to donate. We greatly appreciate their willingness to be a helping hand.
