Allison’s Amputation Recovery
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,
Last week, my sister Allison was attacked by a dog. While trying to break up a dog fight, one dog turned, grabbed ahold of her wedding ring finger, clamped down and bit half of her finger off! Luckily, Bryan her husband, was home and ran downstairs after he heard her screams. He was able to recover her finger off the floor; however, once she was seen by her team of doctors, they concluded they would not be able to reattach the finger. She went immediately into amputation surgery.
She has extensive nerve damage and is in extreme pain. At this time she is completely unable to use her left hand and is distraught about the loss of her wedding ring finger.
Bone and nerves were destroyed. It is a very serious injury. She has a long road ahead of her with the potential of needing additional surgeries, physical therapy, mental/emotional therapy, and will eventually need a prosthetic finger.
This is and will continue to be a very costly, as she does not have insurance to cover all of these costs. She is unable to work and it could be several months before she can feasibly go back to work.
Please continue to visit this site for updates and continue to pray for her during this time.
With deepest gratitude,
