The Karaoke World Championships is a platform for amateur singers to showcase their talent to the world. Each country holds a series of qualifiers to find their country champion and representative for the World finals, which will be held in Malaga, Spain this year.
California has produced two National finalists, Kimberly Evans in 2013 and Miriam Kim in 2014, who went onto the World finals in Finland and Sweden, respectively. Kim Evans won the Bronze medal and Miriam Kim won the Silver medal.
It has been too long since California came out on top. This year, we want to change that. Our top finalists are being prepared to face off with champions of other states, such as Arkansas, Washington, Minnesota, Ohio, Virginia, and so many more. However, we need your help to get them to the National finals, which will be held at the South Point Casino in Las Vegas, Aug 19-22.
We need to raise funds for travel and accommodations, so that #KWCTeamCali can focus on their songs and not worry about getting there. Any amount will help. Let's get our California champions to Vegas!! Will California be represented at World finals in 2018? Only if our winners get to Nationals first!! =)
