### Help Piper Achieve Her Dream: Support Her Journey to the Junior Roller Derby World Cup!

We’re thrilled to share that Piper Jewett has earned an incredible honor – she has been selected to represent the United States on the National Junior Roller Derby Team! This is the highest achievement a junior athlete can attain, and Piper will proudly compete at the Junior Roller Derby World Cup in Brisbane, Australia, from July 24-28, 2025. Making this team has been a dream of hers since she first strapped on skates and discovered her love for roller derby. With eight years of hard work and dedication to the sport, Piper has proven herself to be an exceptional athlete and a committed team player. Now, she has the chance to represent her country on the world stage.

Piper’s journey to this point has been filled with dedication, hard work, and sacrifice. She has maintained a 3.0 GPA, balancing school, rigorous training, and a part-time job to help cover her car insurance and travel expenses for competitions. Along with preparing for the World Cup, Piper has to travel monthly for games and practices around the country. This season, she will compete in Lincoln, Nebraska; Denver, Colorado; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Columbia, South Carolina; and more. Her commitment to her team and sport is unwavering, but the financial cost is significant.

Despite all her efforts, the cost to participate in the World Cup is still a major challenge. Athletes must raise a minimum of $8,500 to make the trip, and Piper needs to reach $5,000 by February 2025 to secure plane tickets for herself and a parent to travel to Australia. Beyond this, the travel expenses for her monthly games and practices add to her financial burden.

This campaign is about more than just funding a trip – it’s about giving Piper the chance to achieve a dream she’s worked toward for almost a decade. Roller derby has taught her resilience, teamwork, and perseverance, values that will serve her for a lifetime.
