Help with Expenses During Treatments

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Rhonda. On October 27th I got diagnosed with cervical cancer, which is more common in women than some may think. I was informed in November that it had spread to the lymph nodes and instead of surgery I would have to undergo chemo and radiation. Treatments were set up and a plan of action was put into place. The week of Christmas, I started running a fever and could not start treatment until this was figured out. An unexpected hospital stay determined that I had an infection in my abdomen and needed to be drained. I spent a week in the hospital adding to my already growing mountain of medical bills and delaying treatment. I am still recovering from that hiccup while trying to get my treatments on track. It has been difficult thus far and I just keep hitting one speed bump after another. Unfortunately during this time, I am not working and my husband has had to take time off of work to help with my care and the care of our children. I am in the process of getting my FMLA from work but my income will be cut in half when that does get approved. We still make too much money to receive any type of assistance which does not even make sense but it is what it is. I have been stubborn up to this point in asking for help because I don't want to be that person asking for a handout. It has just come to a point where the bills are piling up, not enough money coming in and the everyday expenses just getting larger. I have treatments everyday, so that is gas and wear and tear on our vehicle. Putting food on the table is getting harder with the rise in prices. So I am swallowing my pride and reaching out to those who could help. Even if you just share my story and send out prayers, it helps. Any donations will go to basic everyday needs such as food, gas, and help towards what bills it can. Plus help with the needs of our 3 kids such as winter clothing and things needed for school. We thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts and continue to fight through all of this. Thank you for reading and sharing my story.
