Img Academy Tuition

Hi, My name is Phillip Jones. I am an incoming freshmen from Chicago who was unsure about the high school I wanted to attend for the next 4 years of my life. One of my dreams and aspirations is to attend a school named IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. The school is great in both academics and athletics, and thrives in being one of the top high schools in the nation. It is a very expensive boarding school that my family could not afford in our wildest dreams.  But I asked my parents and they told me that "if this is something that you want to do then go for it and let's see if it works out." I filled out the application for the school and surely enough I was accepted. My parents were astonished but once they saw the costs they said they just couldn't do it.  I have 4 siblings in college right now, and my parents work full time jobs that can't sustain a tuition that high. So there just isn't money  available to send me to this private high school despite how life changing the opportunity could be for me. The school has given me a $15,000 scholarship, which although generous, it does not cover the over $70,000 tuition. My family couldn't possibly bridge that gap. So just like completing the application I still believe if you want something bad enough you can't give up. My purpose is to see if I can get any help for my tuition. I do not want to cancel this dream! Reaching my goal would change my life forever and I would be forever thankful and use my platform to reach back to those inner city kids like myself who have dreams that they just won't let die.
