Plattsburgh Aircraft Restoration

The rich history of Plattsburgh NY is represented by two Air Force aircraft on display near the entrance to the old base. The FB-111A received an extensive renovation in 2017-2018. The “Pride of the Adirondacks” B-47E is a work in progress needing much more restoration work and continuous upkeep. The effort of a small group of volunteers is dependent almost entirely on donations for the funds necessary to purchase equipment and supplies. Extensive metal work, polishing, and painting is needed to overcome the ravages of time.
