John’s relief fund

I’m reaching out on behalf of my dad, John Keske. As many of you know, my dad received a devastating diagnosis of stage 3 pancreatic cancer last Spring. He was able to successfully complete chemo and have surgery. After surgery, we learned the surgeon removed a suspicious spot on my dad’s liver- after tests were done, we were informed that his cancer has metastasized and is considered stage 4.. “incurable.” His tumor markers are lower than they have been since starting this process, so we remain hopeful! He is currently taking a short break from treatment to gain back strength and weight as he has significantly lost both. The plan is to start chemo again in the next couple of months. He will receive chemo one day per week, three weeks on and one week off. Dad’s oncologist is considering this round of chemo to be ongoing and to improve quality of life.
Long story short.. my dad has been able to keep up on his medical bills. He has a long road ahead of him and could use support from family and friends. We are hopeful that dad is going to be able to keep fighting this beast. I believe mental health plays a large role in physical health. We can’t take his cancer away.. but I would love if we could help relieve the burden of worrying about working enough to keep up on bills. My dad wants to work, and it is important for him mentally to maintain his normal life. BUT I would love if my dad could feel financially stable to take a day, a week or weeks off from work to get away, spend time with family and friends, go fishing or just relax and take a break to heal. He has also mentioned that he is making a bucket list (travel to Italy!? ☺️).. our goal is for him to complete that bucket list!
