Quinn's Top Surgery

Hi,

My name is Quinn. I'm 18 and currently attending the University of Nebraska at Omaha to become a teacher. I have been on testosterone for 2 years, and identified as a male for over 4. While hormones have improved my well-being, overall mental health, and self-image, I have always been most dysphoric about my chest.

After consulting with my doctors and surgeon we have determined that a subcutaneous mastectomy will cost almost $8,000 out of pocket and that I will have no income for almost a month during recovery. I have been fighting a continuous battle with my insurance provider for a long time. After an initial denial of coverage and two denied appeals, I'm struggling to put together the money to pay for my surgery and recovery.

The surgery is scheduled for January 12th, so any contribution makes a huge difference. I appreciate you taking the time to read and share.
