Patti's Stroke Rehabilitation & Recovery
Donation protected
Dear Patti & Marty’s supporters,
The Spring family writes this with a heavy heart and a genuine hope for support. Two days ago Marty’s beloved wife Patti fell and hit her head and suffered a Ischemic stroke. A year and a half prior to this, she suffered a hemorrhagic stroke and heart attack, after which she had quadruple bypass surgery. As you can imagine, this has been absolutely devastating to our entire family.
As a result of this latest stroke, Patti has been diagnosed with Expressive Aphasia. Additionally she also has developed pneumonia. After the doctors confirmed Patti’s diagnosis, her medical team has recommended her to Occupational, Speech & Physical Therapy to learn how to walk and speak again. After this, they have recommended that she be admitted to a permanent facility indefinitely for continued medical treatment, rehabilitation, and full time care. After our meeting with the doctors at Grand Strand Medical Hospital, we confidently know this is the right path for Patti’s treatment and rehabilitation.
Patti has a tough road ahead, but anyone who knows her, knows she is strong, stubborn and a fighter, so we have no doubt she WILL defeat this. We know that God is with her and will provide her the strength she needs to climb this mountain. We believe in the power of prayer, so please pray for our sweet Patti and our family during this challenging time.
As a family, we are launching a GoFundMe campaign with the hope that we can rally together to provide her with the best care and support possible. Stroke takes a toll physically, mentally, and financially. Medical bills, treatments, travel, and all the associated costs can be immense, and all of this is compounded with Marty having to work a full time job. With your support, we can ease this burden and allow her to focus on her recovery and healing.
Thank you for your prayers and support,
The Spring Family
