A Little Help From My Friends

I’ve been a rideshare driver for almost 3 years. The companies have reduced our pay and a recent accident put me so far behind that I can’t stop driving 60 to 70 hours a week to job hunt. 3 months ago I was driving to pick up a passenger for Lyft in Oakland, out of nowhere another car crashed into me. Since this wreck I’m behind on bills, living in pain, & a little desperate to get out of this hole.


The car rental company I use just raised my weekly rental rate to over $400 per week. I can’t sustain it. I am just trying to get out of this gig once and for all.


This fundraiser could help me get caught up and possibly get into a cheap car of my own to keep me working until I find a better job.


I’m embarrassed to even ask for help, but friends have encouraged me that it’s not shameful to be in need.
