Kyle Clark and Family

My dear friend, Kyle Clark, could use your help as he is about to embark on an extremely difficult journey.

After more than six months of misdiagnosis, a biopsy was done on a lump, that was found in his throat. And on January 22nd, Kyle was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma. Kyle was sent to the Dana Farber Institute in Boston, where a cat scan also showed a node in his lungs, indicating that the cancer had most likely spread. On February 8, Kyle is scheduled to have a port placed, so induction therapy can begin the following day. Induction therapy is essential, as time is needed to create the necessary mask he will need for his treatment. Chemo and radiation treatments for Kyle will require a minimum of two months. During this time he will be traveling back and forth to Boston, while they hope to find affordable or free housing, near the hospital.

Kyle and his family have been spending their free time building a home for their family. The home is almost complete and they planned to move in, within the month. But now their plans have had to shift dramatically. Kyle’s girlfriend Ashley has had to take a leave from work, in order to care for Kyle and their three year old daughter, Sophia. So you can imagine the financial strain this puts on their household.

Kyle is also a father to Lucas 18, and Jade 20. Kyle loves his kids with his entire being and is a very present and amazing father.

Those of you who know Kyle, know that he has been active in the community, coaching kids in various sports for close to two decades, now. His service to the Oxford Hills has been an absolute highlight in his life and is something that he was born to do. Kyle is an extremely caring and generous person who wears his heart on his sleeve and would do anything for anybody. He does this without expectation of anything in return and I hope that your giving can be done in the same spirit.
