In Loving Memory of Kyle Hoefels

Donation protected
On December 1, 2024, Kyle tragically passed away in a farming accident near Rich Valley, Alberta at the age of 33 years old leaving behind his loving wife, Kristina, and their three young children - Tanner, Harper, and Sawyer. Kyle was loved very much by his family, friends and all who knew him and he will be forever present in their hearts.

Kyle’s memory will live on in the stories, laughter and love he brought into this world. He was truly one of a kind, always one to lend a hand to anyone who needed it, and always going above and beyond for everyone in the community. His good nature made him easy to talk to about everything from farming to the Oilers, and he had an incredible knack to build or fix absolutely anything. His family farm was not just an achievement, but his passion in life, and brought him so much joy. He was a heck of a ball player, the center of connection amongst his friend group, and a remarkable husband and father to his family.

Kyle will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend, Kristina, and their three young children Tanner, Harper and Sawyer; his mother Liane and step-father Randy Wenckowski; his brother Matthew (Lindsey) Hoefels; sister Kalene (DJ) Stone; step-sisters Nicole (Patrick) Wenckowski-Wilson; Kristin Wenckowski, and Karlie (Kevin) Clee; mother-in-law Joyce and father-in-law Gary Szybunka, sister-in-law Sandy (Mike) Hammerlindl and brother-in-laws David (Rebecca) Szybunka and Mark (Sheri) Szybunka, many nieces and nephews who greatly adored him, and a large community of friends. Kyle is predeceased by his father, Dieter Hoefels.
A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 10:00am at Westlock Community Hall. Interment to follow at 3:00pm with close family and friends at the Onoway Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers or sympathy gifts, a fund has been set up for Kyle’s family for those who wish to contribute. Your thoughts, prayers and support are greatly appreciated.

All funds contributed will go directly to Kristina and the kids.
