Hello Everyone,
This campaign is for Kyle to help with all his medical expenses that he has already encountered and the long road ahead. His family is paying for as much as they can but everything and anything will help!
Please see below on a little background on Kyle's journey:
December 12, 2019 – diagnosed with Stage IIIC Testicular cancer (highest stage there is for testicular cancer).
December 13, 2019 – underwent emergency surgery
December 20, 2019 – Began Cycle 1 of 4 Cycles of aggressive protocol chemotherapy
March 11, 2020 – Completed what was thought to be last day of Chemo
Tumor markers began at 233,000 (which is unheard of and anything over 10,000 is considered high)
At end of the 4th cycle of chemo, tumor markers went as low as 51, then last week began to rise again.
Realizing that these particular cancer cells are an abnormally aggressive type, the doctors are suggesting another inpatient 5-6 day stay of aggressive chemo (to begin approximately May 4), home for 21 days, then back into hospital for another 5-6 days. Shortly after that Kyle will likely need to travel out of state wherein they will administer more chemo that is so strong it will literally kill every cell in his body, and do a stem cell transplant in the hopes of curing him and saving him. This particular treatment could have him living out of state/ in hospital for up to 8 weeks. Alternatively, he is also looking at 2nd opinions from other major cancer institutions, but leaning towards Indiana as the head physician there is the “Godfather” of testicular cancer and the one who originally developed the original cure, and he and his team are at the forefront of testicular cancer.
There will be updates throughout all of his treatments. We are hoping that this can be shared as much as possible to your friends and families, to reach many.
