Kyler, Kelcie, Stetson & Gunner Black
Donation protected
Hey everyone! Most know that The Black Family has a very special place in my heart! A few friends have reached out asking me what they could do to help them, so I persuaded Kelcie to agree to this! I explained that she and her guys are loved by many and we just want to help them! If you wish, donate what you can and it is beyond appreciated by so many.
So for those that do not know their story, here ya go…
Kelcie and Kyler’s youngest son Gunner has spent his first 6 weeks (& counting) of life at Cook Children’s in Fort Worth fighting every day to overcome a diagnosis of a Congenital Diaphragm Hernia. Upon receiving their diagnosis at their 20 week anatomy scan, Kelcie’s, Stetson’s, & Kyler’s "normal” was changed indefinitely. Gunner was born November 1st, and had his diaphragm repair surgery shortly after on November 3rd. Gunner’s left lung was compromised due to his stomach, intestines, spleen, and part of liver being in his chest area. He has since fought day after day to learn to breathe on his own, and allow his left lung to continue to develop. Gunner is currently on a high flow nasal cannula, but is breathing on his own. We soon hope to begin the process of learning to feed from a bottle.
