Kyle's Medical Recovery Fund!
Donation protected
As many of you know, fellow poster on RRS/TMB Kyle Austin had a stroke this past Saturday and while recovery looks promising, his family is struggling to deal with the difficult realities they must face in the coming months. His parents have asked for prayers for Kyle and his young family; but in the spirit of the holiday season, we can hopefully also help with some financial support. Please consider donating to help cover medical expenses during his lengthy rehab process.
Here's a note from his parents:
Our 29-year-old son Kyle is a teacher and football coach in the Houston area. This past Saturday, he had a stroke due to an unexplained tear in an artery. He is in the hospital, and facing a long road to recovery. Currently, Kyle is very weak on his left side, and he is having great difficulty with balance and has optic nerve damage.
We are praying that he will be able to be transferred to in-patient rehab in a couple days, where he can begin a slow transition back to normal life. He is married with an 8-month-old daughter, coming up on their first Christmas as a family. He is extremely overwhelmed with all that has happened in the past few days and worried he won't be there to raise his daughter.
We would greatly appreciate any and all prayers for his recovery, and especially that God raise his spirits and keep them high thoughout this process. Also for strength for Kyle's wife as she deals with all of this. She's a trooper and has done so well so far, but every little bit can help! We are so humbled by the outpouring of support and can't wait until we can show Kyle all of the kindness from his friends. Thanks so much for any donations, thoughts, and prayers that anyone can give.
