Kyle's Tokyo Marathon Charity Runner Fundraiser!

Hi there, I'm running as a charity runner in the 2024 Tokyo Marathon on March 3rd. Being a charity runner means that I'm raising funds to support a charity selected by the Tokyo Marathon Foundation. My charity is... PLAN International Japan! I've pledged to raise $1,500 to support this worth cause, and I'm asking for you to consider making a donation to help me meet that goal!

PLAN International Japan works to improve and protect reproductive rights for women and girls in developing countries - working against female genital mutilation (FGM) and forced marriage. The charity supports girls so that they can have access to education and say “NO” to forced early marriage. This year, PLAN International is developing projects under the banner “Run for girls! Support girls’ access to education and say ‘NO!’ to forced early marriage,” in Asia, Africa, and Latin America to solve various problems that hinder the future of girls. By running as a charity runner for Plan International, I will be raising money to help girls around the world to have the power to live to their fullest.

This will be my first marathon, so I am extremely excited to have the chance to return to Tokyo where I lived for a year as an exchange student during my undergraduate days, and where I first got into running. I've been training hard and I am so privileged to have the chance to raise money for PLAN International Japan as I run this race, so THANK YOU for your consideration.
