Kym and Troy rebuild after devastating house fire
Donation protected
Late Saturday night a fire started at Burns' home. Unfortunately, the fire started in a shed filled with gas powered equipment which then spread to other parts of their home. Fire fighters worked tirelessly for hours to put the fire out. We are beyond grateful for all of the fire fighters and fire departments that came out to help our family. The damage from the fire includes smoke damage to the main house and a total loss of four vehicles, a side by side, golf cart, camper, and Troy's entire garage along with everything in it (tools, car lift, materials etc). Those of you that know Troy know that he works as a mechanic out of this garage. Not only are Kym and Troy without a home and their vehicles, Troy is also out of work.
Kym and Troy are too prideful to ask for help, so as their child, I'm doing what kids do best, asking for forgiveness instead of permission. Battling insurance coverage has been a nightmare, and does not cover all costs related to being displaced from their home, limited income, etc. I am asking for donations on their behalf to help with all of the extra expenses of being displaced, along with their reduction in income.
We are beyond thankful that no one was hurt in the fire. God was looking over my family that night and I am eternally grateful for that. I would also like to ask for your prayers for my family during this difficult time.
A special thank you to everyone who has called, text, and stopped by to check on them.
Thank you for reading, and I will try my best to post updates of the rebuilding process.
