Kyoko Nakamura Beats Cancer
Donation protected
My wife Kyoko has recently been diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer at the age of 48. Technically, it is Mucinous colorectal adenocarcinoma that has metastasized to both lungs.
We found out about it recently when she went to the doctor's office to treat a persistent cough she had since December. After numerous tests and a few misdiagnoses, a lung biopsy showed adenocarcinoma in her lungs, which was traced to a small tumor in her colon. This came as quite a surprise to us because she has always been very healthy.
Since this type of cancer is mucinous, and not a typical colorectal cancer, it may not respond well to traditional chemotherapy. Thus, we are looking at targeted genome molecular therapy to take out the cancer, or at least prolong her life. This treatment could be expensive so we are asking for funds from friends and family, and generous strangers, who wish to help.
In addition to being a wife, Kyoko is also mother to our seven year old daughter Emma. We hope to keep Kyoko around for as long as possible so she can see Emma grow up, but we will need to start treatment soon, within a few weeks or months.
Any help you could give, financially, would, of course, be gratefully appreciated. No matter what happens we will never forget the kindness and love that people shared for Kyoko.
