Brighter Futures for Arusha Children

“Education is for improving the lives of others and for leaving the world better than you found it.”
— Marian Wright Edelman
We are volunteering at Kyosei Training Centre in Tanzania for 2 months, helping them build their own school.
Kyosei Training Centre is a non-profit school that provides education and community support for the underprivileged children of Arusha. Many of these children are orphans, homeless, and at risk. Besides providing academic instruction, Kyosei also educates the community on sexual health and ecological sustainability so community members have an opportunity for a better life.
We chose Kyosei because we have the same mission. We believe education is the most important thing in the world. We believe education empowers people to change their lives.
Building a School
The project currently has 2 unfinished classrooms and construction has stopped. The funds are simply not there. The children wait for their school, a school that will provide them a safe place and a chance to learn.
Without facilities and supplies, the children in Arusha have little hope of getting a quality education and escaping a hard life. We want to change that. We want them to wake up each morning with a smile, because they get to go to an amazing school built just for them.
But we need your help.
Our objective is to raise $10,000. This money will fund the construction of the school, the cost of furniture, and learning and teaching supplies. In short, this money will create a school that makes learning possible. See the video below for a closer look:
We appreciate your kindness for supporting Kyosei Training Centre and supporting us in our mission to make a difference for these children. They need us.
We are extremely grateful for any and all donations. Please help us spread the word to friends, family, and companies that may be willing to donate.
Thank you again.
